Charity of the Year

At the Wales YFC AGM held in September 2009 it was announced that the Charity of the Year for 2009/10 would be Kidney Wales Foundation. The charity is keen to work with YFC and they have members of staff who are able to come out to talk to clubs about the work that they do.

Remember  - if you raise any money for the Charity please forward it on to Wales YFC, so that a grand total can be calculated at the end of the YFC year.

The first challenge was set by the Carmarthenshire Federation. Tim and 5 members from Carmarthenshire were challenged to refrain from shaving or cutting their hair from the beginning of the year until the Wales YFC Field Day held at the beginning of April.

He has also completed the challenge set by the Eryri Federation where he learnt Welsh and gave a speech at their annual dinner and dance. As requested by Tim John, other members from the county also took part by greeting those present using different languages. Gwenno Griffith the County Chairman spoke in Esperanto, Arwel Thomas used sign language to get his message across and Elen Williams spoke in English.

The other challenges that have been set are:
