Community and Environment Challenge

£800 for the overall winning project

£400 for the runners up in each category

There are numerous reasons for getting involved in work in the community!

  • Work as a team on projects to benefit the wider community & the environment.

There is choice between two challenges;

Themed Project - 'Waste'

Open Project

You are challenged to make a positive change in the fight against waste in your community
You are challenged to carry out a project that incoporates at least two of the following;
  • Countryside
  • Community
  • Environment
  • Heritage

Previous projects include; working with local schools on garden projects, helped renovate church halls, compiled books charting local history, helped restore local foot paths.

Two members will be required to attend the 2012 Royal Welsh Smallholder and Garden Festival 20th May 2012, to answer any questions the judges may have. During the show, a workshop will be held with participating members.
