A leading Welsh law firm has been appointed to provide legal services to Wales’ Federation of Young Farmers Clubs (Wales YFC).

Wales YFC rural affairs vice-chairman, Jonny Williams a member of Presteigne YFC Radnor recently attended the Farmers’ Union of Wales Breakfast event at the House of Lords in London.

10 clubs from all over Wales will represent their County Federations in the Wales YFC English and Welsh Pantomime Competition to be held during the Entertainment Feast weekend at Venue Cymru in Llandundo on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th of March.

YFC staff from all over Wales recently attended a two day staff conference at Bluestone, Pembrokeshire.

Today the launch of the ‘On Farm Health and Safety Charter for Wales’ took place during a Wales YFC Farmhouse Breakfast event.

Tickets are now on sale for an exciting event in the Wales YFC calendar – the Entertainment Feast to be held at the prestigious Venue Cymru in Llandundo on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th of March.

Wales YFC are encouraging a number of YFCs across Wales, who undertake valuable work in their local environments and communities, to enter their projects in a worthwhile revamped competition which will give clubs the opportunity of wining up to £800 for their club.

30 Wales YFC members travelled to Italy as part of the Wales YFC Rural Affairs Study Tour in October which was supported by CCF (Clynderwen and Cardiganshire Farmers) and HCC (Hybu Cig Cymru) in conjunction with the Carmarthenshire Federation of YFC.

Comedian Tudur Owen turns mentor in the programme Tudur Owen: Mentor y Mudiad on Thursday, 5 January as we see him give valuable comedy coaching to members of the Welsh Young Farmers' movement.

A Wales YFC Building Fund was launched during the Wales YFC 75th anniversary dinner held on the Royal Welsh Showground on the Saturday evening prior to the Royal Welsh Show.

Following the general trend of lower entries in classes during the Winter Fair. quality not quantity was the theme of the Wales YFC NatWest Calf Rearing Competition that took place on Tuesday the 29th of November at the Royal Welsh Winter Fair.

Ryan Mills of Troedriwdalar YFC in Brecknock bred the champion lambs in the Wales YFC Best Prime Lamb Producer sponsored by Dunbia. The reserve champion was bred by Carwyn Pugh of Trecastle YFC, Brecknock.

The winner of the Wales YFC NatWest Business Enterprise Scheme will be presented during the Royal Welsh Winter Fair.

Wales YFC will hold a full programme of activities at the Welsh Winter Fair and for many of the Wales YFC members the lure of the Winter Fair is just as strong as that of the Royal Welsh Show.

The WalesYFC National Eisteddfod will be held at Rhyl Pavilion, Rhyl on Saturday 19th of November, hosted by the Clwyd Federation. The event is being sponsored by DenbighshireCounty Council and supported by Bwrdd yr Iaith Gymraeg, with Tegni, a Renewable Energy Company sponsoring the Eisteddfod Chair and prizes.
