Staff Conference

YFC staff from all over Wales recently attended a two day staff conference at Bluestone, Pembrokeshire.
“The staff conference is an annual event for YFC staff from the Wales YFC office based on the Royal Welsh Showground and the County Organisers based in each of the 12 Federations across Wales,” explains Claire Price, Chairman of the Wales YFC Staff Association committee.
“This year, the conference was covered a wide range of topics. We had a fun session to begin with Huw Rees, fashion stylist from Wedi 7 and Wedi 3 programmes on S4/C coming to show us what we could wear to the various events that the YFC hold throughout the year, from the informal to the formal.
“We then looked at motivation and leadership and how to motivate ourselves and others within the organisation. This was an interesting session with each of us picking up on various tips. A speed network session was also held where we spent time individually with a number of organisations who are keen to work closer with us.
“Once again it was a very informative two days which not only gave us the opportunity to learn new things and discuss current issues within the organisation but to spend time with the other staff and share ideas and good practices on the work that we all undertake during the year.”
