Wales YFC heads to United Counties Showground



Young people throughout Wales are busy preparing for the Wales YFC Field Day taking place on Saturday 21st April, at the United Counties Showground, Carmarthen.

The Wales YFC Field Day is an opportunity for members to demonstrate their agricultural skills through a variety of competitions to include; Stockjudging, Workshop Skills and Fencing. There will also be an opportunity for members under the age of 16 to compete in the Fferm Factor competition.



All competitions ran through the day will be offered through the mediums of both English and Welsh and friends and supporters of the movement are welcomed to the Showground to enjoy the day with the Federation.

This year’s event is sponsored by 4 NFU Mutual agencies within Carmarthenshire; Carmarthen, Llandeilo, Llandovery and St Clears and the Federation is extremely grateful to them for their support. The NFU Mutual offers a range of policies and support including life insurance and Financial services and would welcome an opportunity to speak to you.



Dewi Parry, Chairman of the Wales YFC Competitions Committee said: “We would like to thank the Carmarthenshire Federation for hosting the 2018 Field Day on the United Counties Showground, along with the team of volunteers who are gearing up for a busy day of competing’.



The Field Day begins in earnest at 9.30am. Refreshments will be available throughout the day and a warm welcome is extended to anyone who would like to support the young people taking part in the day.
