The Wales Federation of YFC sports day was held at Aberystwyth University on Sunday 24th June. The day gave YFC members, from all over Wales, the opportunity to come together and participate in sporting activities in order to improve their skills and their overall fitness.

During the day, over 250 young people representing County Federations from across Wales competed in the Wales YFC Netball, 5 aside Football, Hockey, Ultimate Frisbee, Dodgeball and Touch Rugby competition Finals.

Radnor excelled in the Football and Hockey competitions taking 1st position along with Meirionnydd girls being successful in the Netball. After a close competition in the Frisbee, Montgomery came out on top taking 1st place, Ceredigion were victorious in the Dodgeball and Brecknock came out on top in the Touch Rugby competition. Congratulations to all teams who came to represent their Counties.

We would like to thank the WRU for all of their support with the Touch Rugby competition providing referees and we hope that this partnership will grow in the future.

Dewi Parry, Wales YFC’s Competitions Chairman said; “It was a pleasure to see so many members competing and enjoying themselves in all six competitions this year in Aberystwyth on Sunday. A huge congratulations to all who competed, especially to those that won their competitions. We wish all of the teams that are going on to represent Wales at the National finals next weekend the best of luck."
