WALES YFC LAUNCHES NEW AGRICULTURE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME: FARMQUEST

During the Royal Welsh Spring Festival on the 19th and 20th of May, Wales YFC will be launching its new agricultural education programme; FARMQUEST.

The programme has been designed to enhance children’s understanding of the agricultural industry, emphasising the journey of food from the field to the fork through a number of interactive activities.

Activities include ‘From Gate to Plate’, ‘A Year on the Farm’, ‘Farm to Fork Challenge’ and much more.

Wales YFC would like to thank the NFU Mutual Charitable Trust with their kind sponsorship of the resources.

In additional to the launch of FARMQUEST the RWAS and Cows on Tour will join forces with FARMQUEST to host the Little Smallholders Area at the Wales YFC Centre during the festival. In addition to FARMQUEST’s new resources available, children will be able to see a hand shearing exhibition, learn how to care for a miniature pony, taking part in a gardening workshop as well as many other activities.
