How the YFC works in Wales
All the work undertaken by Wales YFC is agreed and actioned by you the members.
Wales YFC Council is the governing committee of the organisation and your County Federation elects representatives to sit on the committee to put forward your views and those of your Clubs and County. Each year at the AGM of the Council, a Chairman and Vice Chairman of Council are elected to lead the organisation at a Wales level. Co-opted members are also elected onto the committee, who provide support and expertise to the committee but don’t necessarily have to be a member.
Three Council meetings a year are held and to ensure that there is continuous development of the organisation, Council have the power to set up sub committees. At the moment there are six sub committees working on behalf of the Council, who must report all their work back to Council for approval.

As with Council all sub-committees are made up of representatives from the twelve County Federations and from these young people a chairman and vice-chairman is elected. Each sub-committee is administered by a member of staff, based at the Wales YFC Centre and more information about the staff and officers can be found on the Officers page of this site.
